Knox County, town by town
Where the gas stations, supermarkets, police and fire stations, hardware and gun stores are in each town of Project Zomboid. Pick what you are looking for and the matching places light up.
The full interactive map (every building, zoomable, with a search box) is the community's Project Zomboid Map Project, hosted by The Indie Stone. Reading the map in the game
- The map in the game (M key) only shows what you have already walked past. Maps found in shops, gas stations and glove boxes fill in a whole town at once.
- Gas stations keep working while the electricity is on. After the blackout you need a generator next to the pump (and the Generator magazine, or the Electrician occupation) to pump again.
- Fire stations have axes and heavy gear, police stations have guns and ammo behind locked doors, hardware stores have tools and nails. Warehouses are the quiet place to find a sledgehammer.
- On your server, everyone starts in the town you chose in the server settings (Knox Safehouse asks when you create the server). Pick a small town for a calm start and Louisville for the opposite.
